2021 Brothers at War Eden Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ‘I’m Always Right’ - Eden Valley SA

I am going to say this is a big wine, even though it's Cabernet from Eden Valley which might lull your expectations into thinking this would be silky and elegant.

This is powerful, all the classic flavours of cool climate Cabernet but higher levels of intensity. Mulberries and blackberries dance with pepper, cooking spice and cloves on the lip of the glass while the intense palate remains elegant and rich (oh so smooth across the tongue) delivering more blackberries, blackcurrant, more mulberry, black cherries and combining with some decently chalky tannins. Which is a little strange because it is elegant and smooth, but somehow it works. Over time the tannins will settle and this Cabernet will delight even more.
