2 litres of hand-crafted, Central Otago Pinot Noir — in a box. That’s almost 2.65 bottles in one handy little recycled cardboard brick AND you can have one glass tonight, one glass tomorrow night and maybe not have another until next weekend. This cute little cube on cube will keep your quality quaff fresh and fruity for 3-4 weeks.
Perfect for a glass after work...and for Saturday night's Five Spice Duck.
Why The Dice?
"Switching to wine in a box for the 97 percent of wines that are made to be consumed within a year would reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about two million tons, or the equivalent of retiring 400,000 cars.” (Source — The New York Times, Drink outside the Box)
Dark berry, Cherries and Bramble on the nose with supple textures and savoury dark fruit on the palate. Let it open up and signature Central Otago Pinot Noir will appear in your glass.
"A two litre cask! From Otago! From fancy pinot noir! Yes. It comes with a premium but geez it’s good to see (and taste). Notable Central Otago wine bros Matt and James Dicey have pulled this off nicely.
Fully slurpable, dark cherry imbued, woody spice laced and generally very regional in its feel, showing brooding inky fruit character, concentration but cool lift, and good crunch to acid/tannin. It’s fun while being quite serious here. An effortless, unadorned style with heaps of vitality and the sense that out of the fridge and into a tumbler wouldn’t be a bad idea, despite the slightly higher by litre price point. It’s great to see this, better to drink. Kudos."
