Seriously good Vermentino.
This wine has it all, a bit of subtlety, a bit of complexity and a whole lot of flavour. Perfect when matched with food. Vermentino has come a long way since its introduction to the Australian Wine Industry. Vermentino responds well to warm climates and Margaret River is perfect. Picked early and pressed to tank, there is a wonderful acidity that just drives this wine. Due to the early picking, Alcohol levels are lowish at around 10%, but this is proof positive that alcohol only plays a minor part in the flavour profile of wine.
Absolutely rich flavours deliver on the palate, lots of lemons and lemon drops that match perfectly with the plush palate. The wonderful line of acid which just works so well, cleans everything up nicely. Full of flavour yet wonderfully dry, something to think about. Perfect with food.
