A true reflection of Yarra Chardonnay, a bit more of a robust "adult" style. Malo shows through in a gentle creaminess and oak is apparent but not intrusive. Stonefruit is the game here, ripe nectarines that have been in the fruit bowl on a warm day backed by a dreamy essence of chantilly cream. Definitely moreish.
Located in the upper reaches of the Yarra Valley, this excellent north facing slope is at an almost perfect altitude for this part of Victoria. The vineyard was planted in 1985 and is situated on the much desired red basalt soils that contribute to the extraordinary length of the wine.
