2022 Adelina Watervale Riesling - Clare ValleyRegular price $29.00
Winemaker Col McBryde reckons this is his best vintage yet, we'd tend to agree.
The two Adelina Rieslings are a perfect study of how Watervale and Polish Hill are essentially two different appellations and produce different wines.
Col has mastered both terroir, the Watervale is in complete contrast to the Polish Hill and is just as amazing. Aromas of Powdered talky icing sugar and lime zest in the background followed by Lemon Meringue on the palate, this baby has more body, more power than the Polish Hill...think ripe juicy Meyer Lemons. Like it's sibling it goes forever.
Great vintage, great wine. With about 2.9g/L residual sugar, the Adelina Watervale Riesling is almost bone-dry. Gorgeous aromas of citrus, orange blossom, lime blossom and lemon sherbet. The lemon and lime drives through the palate accompanied by racy acidity. This is a great wine for drinking now, but the wise will put some away and enjoy in ten years time.
