Did someone say single vineyard old vine cool climate Syrah? Like dark cherries and vanilla ice cream, its one of my favourite things.
There is a wood smoky barbecue note that mixes well with aromas of roses and blackberry. In the middle there is a stemmy note which I am assuming comes from some wholebunch work. But you could just sit and sniff for hours and find new and wonderous things. The palate is full of adjectives, its rich and silky and round and has virtually every red and black fruit imaginable coming to party. Raspberries and blackberries and blueberries capture my attention with yummy almost imperceptible tannins.
This is just incredible wine....and it goes for days.
