The boys at Hughes & Hughes just know how to make good Pinot, this one is sourced from the vineyard in Flowerpot, Clarence House Estate and the Derwent Valley. Rich and delectable mix of red and black fruit with a herbal backdrop.
The word for this wine is vibrant, raspberries and black cherries leaping from the glass and then developing in layers of cherry, plums and raspberries on the palate mixed with chewy tannins.
"Sourced from a range of Tasmanian vineyard sites. 8% whole bunch, natural yeast, held on skins for 16-21 days.
So authentically pinot. This is a beautiful wine to drink. Crushed red roses, undergrowth, sweet-sour cherry, clove and concentrated strawberry flavours have this wine singing. Fine0grained, slightly smoky tannin slips both easily and convincingly through the finish. Everything is harmonious here."
