And she's back ladies & gentlemen, just when we thought we'd seen the last of the Field Street Shiraz with the '18 vintage...Steve Pannell changed his mind.
Thank god! This is an absolute ripper. My tasting involved a lot of agreeable swearing, I really enjoyed tasting this wine.
This is classic opulent no-holds-barred McLaren Vale Shiraz. Everything is in order and given a good old tweaking to 11 out of 10. Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberries, chocolates and earth fill the glass and then the palate is just a wild multi layered ride of rich opulent chocolate and blue fruit (think plums and blueberries). Totally in balance, tannins are hiding somewhere. This is gluggable, sit down and drink the bottle without even realising.
I am glad I got to try this wine.
