Bestia means Beast in Italian, and I am told this is an "Amber" rather than Orange wine, it is made in the classic Italian style of Orange wine (no new fangled half baked natural winemaking).
And I am surprising myself by recommending it…normally I am not a fan of orange wines but I am super impressed by this wine. The nose is ever so slightly funky combined with peppery spicy phenolic notes evolving into wonderful perfumes. The tannins are quite grippy...you should like this. Makes for a great afternoon sunshine sipper or work well with food.
The palate is a melange of orange marmalade, campari flavours, orange peel, orange blossom and ginger. Bloody lovely. If you don't like it I will take it back..get you something else and keep it for myself!
