An ode to beaujolais?
90% Central Otago Pinot Noir, 10% Central Otago Pinot Gris.
Carbonic maceration drives the wonderful prettiness of this wine, don't fancy a Pinot...try this, the balance of Pinot Noir with the richness of the Pinot Gris makes for something beyond gluggable. Aromas explode from the glass and the party starts, loads of raspberries and pretty red florals wrapped in a cloak of intense dark fruit. Vaguest hint of bramble.
The palate is extraordinary, rich dark berries play with chocolate and bramble with this dark cherry amaro thing going on and on it goes length is fantastic.
